The American Standard choice
A century of comfort. A reputation for reliability.

You're familiar with the name. In the 1880s, we pioneered clean and affordable heating for the home. From the earliest cast-iron radiators the American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning brand has been synonymous with homes and home comfort. As American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning looks to the future, it remains committed to providing you and your family with outstanding quality products.

But history isn't a reason to choose a home comfort system. Quality is. American Standard heating and air conditioning systems offer the highest level of home comfort at the lowest possible cost of operation. Their systems and products are praised by consumer publications and meet or exceed all government standards for efficiency.

Most important, we make sure our systems and products are easy to use and maintain. And as a independent American Standard dealer we are dedicated to making sure your system provides you with stress-free comfort for years to come. In fact, your home may be so comfortable that you'll think twice about going outside at all.

Efficiency. Reliability. Quality. History.
That's what makes American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning.

Where real home comfort begins.
Many homeowners think of their air conditioner and furnace as two totally independent appliances. But they're actually integrated pieces of a system that cools, heats and circulates air throughout your home. And today's systems don't stop with heating and cooling. They can include humidity control, air cleaning, and pinpoint temperature control. And when all components are properly matched, today's home comfort systems can give you reliable, energy-saving comfort for years to come.

Two different energy sources for flexibility and savings.

An American Standard Heritage Hybrid™ comfort system provides you with everything you need to weather changes in utility costs. By combining an electric heat pump with an oil or natural gas furnace, you will not only save energy, but also get effective, efficient cooling in the summer months. Plus, you can precisely tailor an indoor/outdoor Heritage Hybrid™ comfort system to suit your climate and home by choosing two interconnected units: a furnace that's placed inside your home and a heat pump outside your home.

Efficient and Flexible Energy System

No matter what the weather report says, you can be confident that your American Standard Heritage Hybrid™ comfort system will operate in the most economical mode. For example, on a chilly evening, the electric heat pump switches on to keep your home comfortable, efficiently drawing heat from the outside air. When the weather turns cold overnight, and heating with natural gas or oil becomes more efficient, the furnace takes over. Then if the temperature rises at midday, the heat pump will keep your home cozy and warm.

How does a heat pump work?
A heat pump doesn’t use up fuel making heat, it just moves it. In the summer it moves heat from the inside to the outside of your home, just like a standard central air conditioning system. In the winter, it functions like an air conditioner in reverse — harvesting heat from the outdoor air and moving it inside. The air outside may seem cold to you, but there’s actually heat in all air, and the heat pump collects it to keep your home comfortable. With the ability to both heat and cool, a heat pump is an economical choice for many climates. Combined with a furnace in an American Standard Heritage Hybrid™ comfort system, you have the ultimate flexibility for greater efficiency in all seasons.
